I'm a hockey fan, and it is the Stanley Cup playoffs right now. I really love to watch the hockey games at this time of year. The final few weeks you really see what a team is made of. By the time it is the 3rd round, all the teams who are still playing, they are all good teams. Everyone is playing with some kind of an injury. What starts to matter is the conditioning. All that work they put into their drills and work outs all year long matter now. It's about plays and stamina. Additionally, it is rarely about only a few star players. Defensemen need to be able to score. It's about the depth of your bench. Can your third string line still score or kill the penalty? So it is in sales.
