Steve and Rob, momentum is a strange thing it only works once you actually put action towards it. If salespeople are not doing everything they can do to build it right now they will miss the sling shot ahead when things build up.

Hi Bold Call Guys,

Being already warmed up and prepared are imperative in tough times. I’m a hockey fan, and it is the Stanley Cup playoffs right now. I really love to watch the hockey games at this time of year. The final few weeks you really see what a team is made of. By the time it is the 3rd round, all the teams who are still playing, they are all good teams. Everyone is playing with some kind of an injury. What starts to matter is the conditioning. All that work they put into their drills and work outs all year long matter now. It’s about plays and stamina. Additionally, it is rarely about only a few star players. Defensemen need to be able to score. It’s about the depth of your bench. Can your third string line still score or kill the penalty? So it is in sales. Stamina and having been there and doing the right selling behavior all year long, not just now that it is “Play off” season in the economy, yes?

Great topic because so many people wait for the news media & popular opinion to tell them when they should do something & by then it’s typically too late & you’re only catching the very tail end of a bandwagon that’s about to end already.

I like your approach of preparing and positioning yourself ahead of time so that you are ready to handle the wave when it hits!
